Episode Notes
Ulyana Agban joins me to discuss The Two Lives of Penelope by Judith Vanistendael.
Ulyana Agban is a multidisciplinary artist having practices in fine art and illustration. She has recently started off as an art educator of illustration and comic courses in Moscow.
She’s developing her work in storytelling through sculpture and visual images and often includes an ethnographic approach in her projects. As an artist, she’s inspired by real life experiences paralleled by big historical events.
Currently, Ulyana is working on a book project that represents her family story that took place among small indigenous people of Siberia during the repressions of the 1950s in the Soviet Union developing the topic from a documental perspective.
